BODYWORK
Equine Bodywork
Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist (CESMT)
With over 4 years of dedicated education, advanced coursework, and live lab training, my learning never stops. I regularly attend hands-on clinics, biomechanics intensives, functional anatomy labs and community gatherings with industry experts to broaden my understanding of biomechanics and refine my technique. My approach is the result of cumulative training and real-world experience-carefully adapted into a personalized, intuitive method rooted in evidence-based practice. I prioritize the nervous system regulation and fascial health as foundations of soundness.
Offering advanced manual therapy that goes beyond basic massage to support performance, recovery and overall wellness for your equine partners. Combining science, skill and intuition to get to the root cause of tension and imbalance, discomfort or performance limitations. Committed to the horse as a whole, my approach is not just about temporary relief, but long-term solutions that support your horse’s soundness both mentally and physically.
The “Whole Horse” Philosophy
Every horse is unique, and so is every session. Client intake information along with a visual and manual assessment where I evaluate posture, muscle symmetry and movement patterns. Listening carefully to the horse with sensitivity and respect to the feedback given through body language and subtle responses. Whether I’m supporting an equine athlete, a horse in rehabilitation or one simply needing body maintenance, I tailor each session to the individual in front of me. Depending on what the horse presents, I integrate a range of manual therapy techniques, including:
Equine Sports Massage
A customized blend of myofascial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage and other advanced techniques to release tension, restore mobility and enhance performance. Added benefits include release of soft tissue adhesions and scar tissue, reduction of lymphatic blockages, improved circulation, mental relaxation and reduced stress hormone levels.
Corrective and Rehabilitative Exercises
Designed to re-train functional movement and address muscular imbalances, helping the horse use its body with correct form and function.
Mobilization & Stretching
Targeting fascia and muscle fibers to improve flexibility, circulation and range of motion – crucial for recovery and injury prevention.
Stabilization & Strengthening
Exercises focused on key postural and weight-bearing muscle groups (trunk, thoracic sling and pelvic girdle) and core strength development.

Kinesiology Taping
Kinesiology taping has long been used in human sports medicine to enhance performance, reduce discomfort, and support recovery. Developed by Dr. Kenzo Kase, a Japanese chiropractor, the technique was originally designed to extend the benefits of manual therapy. Today, this innovative modality is making a powerful impact in equine wellness.
What Is Equine Kinesiology Taping?
Kinesiology taping offers a non-invasive, drug-free way to support wellness. It is a flexible, elastic adhesive tape that mimics the skin’s natural stretch. When applied to a horse, it acts like a second skin—providing support without restricting movement. The tape gently lifts the skin, creating space between tissue layers. This decompression effect can:
Improve circulation and lymphatic drainage
Facilitate or inhibit muscle function
Enhance proprioception (body awareness)
Address fascia adhesions and tissue tension
Support joints, tendons, and ligaments
Promote postural balance and biomechanical efficiency
A Powerful Add-On to Bodywork, PEMF and Laser Therapy
Kinesiology taping is a natural complement to other equine wellness services. After a session of bodywork, PEMF or laser therapy, the horse’s body often experiences shifts in muscle tone, alignment and energy flow. Taping helps prolong those benefits by:
Stabilizing areas of change
Supporting tissue as it adapts
Reducing inflammation and soreness post-session
Encouraging continued healing between appointments
